New Delhi: OnePlus has officially announced the launch of its inaugural foldable phone, named “OnePlus Open,” which is set to debut in the upcoming weeks, directly competing with Samsung’s recently released Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The OnePlus Open is anticipated to be launched in multiple markets, but the exact timeline is yet to be confirmed by OnePlus. Allow us to provide you with all the details concerning the design, specifications, and features of the OnePlus Open.

The back of the OnePlus Open will feature a triple-camera setup, where the Hasselblad text has been replaced by the camera company’s logo, now positioned on the right side of the module. This setup includes three camera sensors, including a periscope telephoto camera.

Additionally, there is a new sensor, either a Time-of-Flight (ToF) or LiDAR sensor. Renderings of the updated design have emerged based on pre-production units of the foldable phone. As per the report, the camera module will occupy the top half of the foldable phone, with the OnePlus logo positioned below it, indicating a potential new design for the phone’s presentation.

The phone’s foldable display will measure 7.8 inches diagonally and support a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. On the exterior, there will be a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus Open will feature a 20MP selfie camera on the inside and a 32MP front camera on the cover display.

The back of the OnePlus Open will feature a 48MP primary camera sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP periscope camera. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will be available with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Additionally, it will be equipped with a substantial 4800mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging right out of the box.
