Looking for jobs day and night but are unable to land one? LinkedIn has introduced a new AI feature to enhance the job search experience, making job hunting easier. This new addition is a chatbot acting as a virtual career coach, guiding users to available job opportunities and skill improvement tips, all within minutes.

It’s important to note that this feature is currently exclusive to premium LinkedIn members. The company also plans to launch the “Takeaways” AI feature, providing post summaries and valuable advice to aid professional development.

In recent news, LinkedIn has faced a decline in revenue growth, leading to layoffs affecting around 668 positions in the engineering, product, and finance departments. This downward trend in revenue growth has persisted for eight consecutive quarters, with a prior round of layoffs in May that predominantly impacted sales, operations, and support teams. These challenges reflect the broader tech industry’s struggles, as many major companies continue to implement layoffs.

LinkedIn’s parent company, Microsoft, has raised membership prices over the past two years, resulting in only a 5 per cent revenue growth in the second quarter. To boost revenue, Microsoft is actively developing new features, potentially expanding LinkedIn’s user base with the introduction of these new features.
