Amid all the buzz and speculation around Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 series, several leaks are going around on the internet with the latest one claiming to have revealed the colour options. While the details about the smartphone’s battery, display, chipset and other bits have leaked several times, a new rumour claims that the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus will come with more colours than ever once launched. This claim has been made by leaker Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo (via MacRumors) states.
There will be two fresh options – white and purple – for the iPhone 16 Plus. It will also be available in the existing black, blue, green, pink and yellow colours, which you see on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. However, these shades may be slightly different from the ones used in the iPhone 15, if you go by Apple’s pattern of colour changes between iPhone generations.
While the leaker has specifically mentioned these details for the iPhone 16 Plus model, we can expect it to apply to the iPhone 16 as we have seen Apple providing unified colours to its iPhone and iPhone Plus models since the introduction of Plus.
Several leaks have hinted at the colours of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. New colours are rumoured to include Gray and Rose or Cement Gray and Desert Yellow, while the Space Black colour in which the iPhone 14 Pro is wrapped could make a return.

Battery details
Recently, tispter Baby Baby Sauce on Weibo claimed that it has obtained the battery details of the upcoming iPhone 16 series. It claims that the iPhone 16 will pack a larger 3,561mAh battery than the 3,349mAh unit seen in the iPhone 15 model. Furthermore, the tipster claimed that the iPhone 16 Plus will get a smaller 4,006mAh battery. The previous model is powered by a 4,383mAh unit.
The iPhone 16 Pro could have a slightly larger 3,355mAh battery, while the previous version had 3,274mAh. As per the leak, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with the biggest 4,676mAh battery being a premium offering. The iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 4,422mAh battery.
Display
If rumours are to be believed upcoming the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max might get bigger displays with the former featuring a 6.3-inch screen and the latter boasting 6.9-inch canvas. However, given the increased dimensions, how convenient will these devices be for one-handed usage remains a concern. As for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, this duo is tipped to retain the existing sizes.
