With its new product Apple has taken up the task of producing a new crease less display that would add toe the appeal of their new foldable. As per supply chain analyst Ming Chi Kuo Apple might have found a resolute solution to ensure that the folding device has o crease upon its display. As per KUO Apple would be using “ Liquid Metal Materials” for some of the components that would comprise of the hinge. 

As per KUO Apple might have plans to produce the new parts through Die-Casting. This is how Apple plans to achieve a durable flat and crease free display on the Foldable iPhone. Liquid metal might seem like a new innovation that belongs to the sci -fi  world but such materials allow the manufacturer to work with flexibility and create precise molds, which is great for manufacturing thin parts that operate within thin clearances like that of a hinge.

Apple’s Plans To Use This would not be Apple’s first rodeo in using new materials to ensure they get the final appeal they seek. Before this Apple had also used similar materials using alloy technology to make sim ejector tools for iPhone and iPads. But this would be the first time that such new materials are being used in components that would be an integral part of the phone’s chassis. 

KOU has further revealed that Apple might be working along with Chinese supplier Dongguan Yian Technology, As the company had previous experience in using such interesting materials. 

The Crease has been a constant issue for foldable phones, their appearance further impacts the overall look of the phone in the long term. The crease in certain cases expands and leaves the phone with a very visible crease. 

Samsung has been working in the same direction as well , they were able to  profoundly reduce the creases appearance in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and is expected to further improve with the up- coming new phones.
