Last year, Britannia Treat Croissant created a buzz by offering a special one-day internship with a huge Rs 3 lakh payment. The only condition was you had to say “croissant” correctly. This was tricky because many people pronounce it in funny ways, like kwa-son, crusso-n, nruss-ant, kwah-saun, cru-sonh, and more. In just 24 hours, the campaign got an amazing 25,000 people to join, as per afaqs report.
A year later, another funny mistake has gone viral—this time, someone called it “Prashant”! The accidental rhyme was too funny to miss, so Britannia decided to join in on the fun.
The brand changed its social media name to ‘Britannia.Prashant’ for a while and updated its bio to say, “Prashant, naam to suna hi hoga” (You must have heard the name Prashant). They also changed the spelling on their croissant packaging. Other brands like Swiggy, PinkVilla, and some bakeries joined in the fun. Now, people on social media are also calling it Prashant.
