New Delhi: Triumph has recently launched the updated versions of the Street Triple R and RS motorcycles in India. The 2023 Triumph Street Triple R is priced at Rs 10.17 lakh, while the 2023 Triumph Street Triple RS comes with a price tag of Rs 11.81 lakh (ex-showroom). Triumph began accepting pre-orders for these bikes in December 2022.

In addition to the R and RS variants, Triumph also unveiled the Street Triple Moto2 Edition in the UK and other countries. However, this special edition model has not been launched in India yet. Both the 2023 Triumph Street Triple R and RS models are equipped with a 765cc, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum torque of 80 Nm. However, the power output differs, with the RS producing 128 bhp and the R model producing 118 bhp. Both bikes come with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and bi-directional quick shifter.

Triumph has made some revisions to the Street Triple RS model, including an increased rake angle and raised backend to enhance the bike’s renowned handling dynamics. This has resulted in a seat height increase of 11mm. The petrol tank capacity has been reduced from 17.4 to 15 liters across all variants.

The 2023 Street Triple RS offers five riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, Track, and Rider Configurable. On the other hand, the 2023 Street Triple R features four riding modes, similar to the RS model, excluding the Track mode. Despite being the base variant, the Street Triple R delivers better horsepower and torque than its predecessor. It is also equipped with cornering ABS and traction control.

Similar to the Triumph Trident 660, the Street Triple R features an updated semi-digital instrument cluster with an LCD-TFT combination unit. Both models have undergone exterior revisions and feature a redesigned headlight nacelle. The 2023 Triumph Street Triple duo competes with the Kawasaki Z900 (priced at Rs 9.11 lakh) and the Ducati Monster range, which starts at Rs 12.95 lakh for the base model and goes up to Rs 15.95 lakh for the higher-spec SP variant.
