Currently, there is an ongoing Test series between Australia and the West Indies. Australia secured a 1-0 lead in the series after winning the first match. Their triumph in the initial Test not only maintained their top position in the World Test Championship points table but also strengthened their standing significantly. Despite being at the forefront before this match, Australia’s recent victory has further solidified their position in the points table.

Australia’s triumph in the first Test and the West Indies’ defeat have proven advantageous for the England team, elevating them to the seventh position on the points table. Previously positioned at eighth, England’s team witnessed a rise in their standings. Sri Lanka, following this shift, has now descended to the ninth spot. Importantly, Australia’s victory did not adversely affect the Indian team.
