WPL 2025: The BCCI is pinning all its hopes on finalizing the dates and venues for the third edition of the Women’s Premier League before the end of the week. Though it has yet to send formal notices to the five franchises, the reports say that the 2025 edition will start either on February 6th or 7th.
The WPL will again be held in the caravan format, just like last year. The first leg will be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The final is scheduled to be played on March 9th at Vadodara. The newly inaugurated Kotambi Stadium, situated miles away from Vadodara, hosted its first international series with the India Women’s team in a three-match ODI series against the West Indies.
According to a source close to the event, “There will be 23 games across two venues. The goal is to spread the game across the country,” as reported by Sportstar.
