Champions Trophy 2025: Former Pakistan Captain To Mentor Afghanistan

The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed that former Pakistan captain will be the new mentor.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to commence from February 19 and Afghanistan has picked new mentor for the upcoming event. It is none other the former Pakistan captain Younis Khan. The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed about this decision to Cricbuzz on Wednesday. Younis Khan had previously served as the batting coach of Afghanistan for their team in 2022.

“ACB has assigned former experienced top order Pakistani player Younis Khan as Mentor for Champions Trophy 2025. He (Younis) will join the team before the event starts in Pakistan,” Sayeed Naseem Sadat, the spokesman of ACB, confirmed to Cricbuzz on Wednesday.
