New Delhi: Tennis great Serena Williams has retired after a spectacular career. After the defeat against Ajla Tomljanovic in the US Open, Williams was asked if she would reconsider about her retirement.
Her reply is giving hopes to the fans that she can probably plan to come back.
‘I don’t think so, but you never know,’ tearful tennis great said on court.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion lost by 7-5, 6-7 (4/7), 6-1. This is considered her farewell game of the career.

In post match conversations, “It’s been a fun ride. It’s been the most incredible ride and journey I’ve ever been on, I mean, in my life,” she said.

“I’m just so grateful to every single person that’s ever said, ‘Go, Serena,’ in their life. I’m just so grateful. You got me here.”
“It all started with my parents,” Williams said. “They deserve everything. So I’m really grateful for them,” she said.
“I wouldn’t be Serena if there wasn’t Venus, so thank you, Venus. She’s the only reason that Serena Williams ever existed,” she concluded.
