New Delhi: Ashes winning captain Andrew Strauss has shared his opinions on the current English team in the shortest format. The strategic advisor for England and wales Cricket Board (ECB) have used harsh words to explain that English cricket needs to improve their Twenty20 game in this dynamic market of cricket.

“The game of cricket has changed and evolved and developed since the beginning of time but it definitely feels like, right at the moment, the rate of change is increasing,” said Strauss in press conference.

Strauss has given a strong reply to the pundits who believe that Test and ODI can co-exist with T20. He said that with the changing, one needs to adapt to the change and that is the solution.

“I think one of the things that we need to be conscious of in the game in this country is we have to be nimble and adaptable. We can’t afford to be slow moving and have our heads in the sand,” added Strauss.

“I think that’s really important that we set ourselves up in this country, we set the game up in a way that allows us to be flexible and adaptable.

“Because if players have got many opportunities, which some of our players have, they will always look at those opportunities side by side won’t they and decide what’s best for them and you don’t hold that against them.”
