Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar delighted fans with a nostalgic display in a T20 exhibition match named “One World vs One Family.” Leading the One World team, Tendulkar showcased his timeless batting skills by scoring a quick 27 runs off just 16 balls. The crowd was thrilled as Tendulkar faced his old rival, former Sri Lankan spin maestro Muttiah Muralitharan. However, the excitement turned to astonishment when Muralitharan, playing for the One Family team, dismissed Tendulkar with his very first delivery. Tendulkar’s attempt at an aggressive shot fell short as Mohammad Kaif at long-on took the catch.

Even though Tendulkar’s time at the crease was short-lived, it served as a poignant reminder of his extraordinary skills and the happiness he has bestowed upon cricket enthusiasts worldwide during his remarkable career. The exhibition match itself was a festive occasion honoring cricket legends, with Yuvraj Singh and other prominent players participating.

One-Off Contest

In a special one-off match at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium on Thursday, Sachin Tendulkar’s One World emerged victorious with a four-wicket win over Yuvraj Singh’s One Family. The match featured 24 legendary players from seven different countries.

In the pursuit of a target of 181 runs, One World’s successful chase was led by South African batsman Alviro Petersen, who played an impressive innings of 74 runs off 50 balls. The opening pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Naman Ojha provided a solid foundation, with Ojha contributing 25 runs off 18 deliveries before being dismissed by Sri Lankan veteran Chaminda Vaas.

As the team required 17 runs from the last 12 deliveries, Irfan Pathan showcased calmness under pressure, guiding his side towards victory. Needing just seven runs from the final six deliveries, he confidently executed a powerful straight drive for a six, ultimately securing the match in favor of One World.
