New Delhi: Ramiz Raja’s penchant for unusual and bizarre comments in the comment box is well-known, and the former Pakistani cricketer announced on Monday (August 7) that he will be playing in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL). He made the comment again during the Colombo Strikers vs. Goal Titans game.
Ramiz Raja’s comment from commentary box
Ramiz Raja is doing commentary in the league. When Babar Azam came out to bat at the crease, Rameez could not control his emotions. He said in the commentary, “Babar’s class is different. You need a player like him in such a situation, who plays long. I love him, want to marry him.” The clip of his statement is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

Baba Azam T20 form
Babar Azam scored his 10th century in T20 cricket. He is only the second batsman in the world after Chris Gayle to score 10 or more T20 hundreds. Babar Azam has scored three centuries for Pakistan. He has scored two centuries each in England’s T20 Blast and Pakistan’s National T20 Cup. He also struck during the Pakistan Super League and a tour match against Leicestershire. Now he has scored a century in the Lanka Premier League as well. In this way Babar has scored 10 centuries in this format.
Even after scoring 10 centuries, Babar is far behind Chris Gayle. Gayle has 22 centuries in this format. To overtake him, Babar will have to score 13 more centuries. Which is not going to be easy.
Azam’s match-winning knock of 104 off 59 balls not only helped his team win, but with this century he became only the second player to score 10 hundreds in T20Is.
The century was special as it helped the Strikers chase down a challenging 188 for the Titans. Azam’s exceptional batting performance as well as support from Pathum Nissanka ensured that the Strikers reached their target with just one ball to spare. The win put the Strikers back in the playoff race, giving them four points from four matches. Azam’s performance in the LPL shows his remarkable consistency in T20 cricket.
