It has been exactly one year since Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant suffered a horrific car crash and sustained multiple injuries which kept him sidelined for a year now.
With the Delhi Capitals skipper set to return in the upcoming IPL 2024 season, the franchise shared a special tribute for the Indian star featuring the likes of coach Ricky Ponting, teammate Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant himself. The tribute consisted of an year long timeline which shows how Rishabh Pant started his long road to recovery and helped his DC teammates from the sidelines during IPL 2023.
Rishabh Pant had suffered multiple ligament injuries in his knee and had to undergo a long and challenging rehabilitation process in order to get back to match fitness.

The video posted on Delhi Capitals social media handles, saw Axar Patel recollecting the time when he got to know about the accident and how he had thought that he won’t be able to make it. Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting also talked about the incident and said that he got to know about Rishabh’s accident through social media.
Team director Sourav Ganguly was also included in the video where he talked about Rishabh’s return to the DC team.
While Pant was at the National Cricket Academy for his rehab, Team India many major tournament with the most important one being the ODI World Cup 2023. Pant was supporting the team via his social media platform and also kept his fans updated about his recovery every step of the way.
