Virat Kohli turns 34 today, here are his top 5 innings that make him LEGEND

New Delhi: Today is the birthday of the most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram. He is non other than Virat Kohli. He is currently performing in a blazing form in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. Today he is celebrating his 34th birthday.

BCCI shared a video on their official Twitter account. In the video Virat Kohli can be seen cutting a cake as he is surrounded by members of team India and mental conditioning coach of team India Paddy Upton.

Kohli has led Team India in all three formats

Virat was born on November 5, 1988 in Delhi. He belonged to a simple middle class family. However, he went on to follow his dream to become a cricketer. Overcoming all odds, he kept determined in becoming an international player of cricketer. He had also hold the captaincy in all the three formats of Cricket including, T20, One Day International and Test.

133 not out against Sri Lanka in Hobart (2012)

Virat played this innings during the CB Tri-Series in Australia back in 2012. This is one of the best innings played by him. In the game Kohli smashed 133 runs off 86 deliveries. In the game India scored 321 runs in 37 overs.

Lasith Malinga, who is one of the most seasoned fast bowler bowled one of the worsts over in his career. Kohli scored 24 runs in one over of Malinga.

183 runs against Pakistan in Asia Cup (2012)

Virat Kohli played another fantastic innings in this match against Pakistan that took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Batting first, Pakistan had scored 329 runs in the match. When India came to bat Gautam Gambhir was sent back to the pavilion at duck.

Then came Virat Kohli, he played a massive innings and scored 183 runs. He smashed 22 fours and 1 six in his innings. India won the match in 48 overs.

This year Kohli was in the best form. He played a match-winning innings in the 2016 T20 World Cup match at the Mohali Cricket Ground. In this match, Kohli had a tremendous beating of James Faulkner’s balls. Kohli scored an unbeaten 82 in the match and led the team to victory.

Virat Kohli considers this innings as one of the best in his career. This was the first match of the World Cup which was played between India and Pakistan. Team India came to chase the target.
