New Delhi: Pakistan has announced the team for the T20 World Cup. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has returned in this team announced on Thursday. Apart from Afridi, Haider Ali and Shan Masood have also been included in the 15-man squad.
Shaheen Shah Afridi important for Pakistan
Earlier, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to injury but he has made a comeback. Fakhar Zaman’s name is missing from the 15-man team, he has been kept in reserve. Babar Azam will lead the Pakistan team in the T20 world cup. Shabad Khan has been made the vice-captain.

Shan Masood in and Fakhar Zaman in reserve got a chance
On the other hand, Shan Masood, who has performed brilliantly in domestic cricket and T20 Blast, has got the reward for good performance. He will play T20 match for Pakistan for the first time. Earlier, he has represented Pakistan in ODIs and Tests.

Team’s explosive batsman Fakhar Zaman has been dropped from the team. Zaman’s performance in the Asia Cup was very poor. He had only one half-century against Hong Kong. He has been given in the space in the category of the reserve players.
Young leg-spinner Usman Qadir got a place
Young leg-spinner Usman Qadir has got a place in Pakistan’s team. He has played 19 T20 matches. During this he took 25 wickets. He came into the limelight after scoring 18 runs in 6 balls against Australia. He also took 2 wickets in this match.
