The decision to schedule India’s potential semifinal match in Guyana on June 27 is based on logistical considerations, with the first semifinal taking place as a night game in Trinidad on June 26, while the match in Guyana is slated for a daytime slot, catering to the preferences of the Indian television audience.

The second semifinal is scheduled to commence at 8:30 PM IST, with an extension of 250 minutes allotted in case of weather interruptions. In contrast, the first semifinal’s additional time will be spread across two days. Specifically, for the match on June 26, 60 minutes will be set aside at the conclusion of the day’s play, while the remaining 190 minutes are slated for 2 PM on June 27. Additionally, the final on June 29 will have a reserve day on June 30, ensuring sufficient time for completion if needed.

As per the playing conditions, the extra 250 minutes allocated for the second semifinal in the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 27 will be used, if necessary, by extending the playing hours on the designated day. India, with aspirations to clinch a coveted ICC trophy, will kick off their journey against Ireland in New York on June 5, followed by a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan at the same venue on June 9.
