New Delhi: Soon after Twitter removed blue tick badges from accounts of non-paying users, troll armies got a lot of content to focus on. The platform is filled with hillarious memes whereas, some celebs were seen justifying their account’s authenticity on Twitter.
In one such incident, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar gave a ‘happy smile’ reply to a Twitterati, when the ace player went live to a Q&A session.
Twitter has created confusion with the move as fans are finding it to hard recognise official accounts of celebrities.
A fan asked Sachin Tendulkar if his account is fake or real to which he had a witty response. The ace cricketor made a gesture of tick from his fingers, kept it on his face and posted the picture. The gesture was double entendre: it was a sign of smile as well as a tick.
As the user asked, “Now that, you don’t have the blue tick, how can we be sure that you’re the real Sachin Tendulkar?”
The Master Blaster said, “As of now, this is my blue tick verification!”
