New Delhi: Australia thrashed Indian in the first T20I by 4 wickets after the home side’s bowlers failed to defend the huge target of 209 runs.  

After the game, India captain acknowledged the shortcomings of bowlers and said that they need to work better but what remained a big question for the fans was ‘when will Jasprit Bumrah come back?’

Bumrah has been out of team for a long time after suffering an injury and he even missed Asia Cup 2022. India had to face its effects and eventually got kicked out of the tournament at early stage.

Hardik Pandya reveals when will Bumrah come.

Though, the pacer has been named in the T20 World Cup squad but fans want to see him playing even in the two series before the mega event. India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has given an answer about when Jasprit Bumrah will return to the field.

Hardik Pandya says that the Indian team will not put too much pressure on the veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and will give him full time to come back from injury.

Pandya opines on Bumrah’s importance in team

Hardik Pandya said, ‘We all know what he can do and how important he is to us. There may be some concerns (about the bowling), but that’s not a problem. We have to trust our players, they are the best 15 players in the country and that is why they are in the team.

Hardik Pandya said that ‘Jasprit’s not being there makes a lot of difference. He is coming back from injury, it is important for him that he gets enough time to come back and not put too much pressure on himself.

India face the burnt of Bumrah’s absence

Bumrah was sorely missed in the first match played between Australia and Team India in Mohali on Tuesday. Chasing a target of 209 runs, the visiting team easily won by 4 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Barring Axar Patel, all Indian bowlers conceded more than 11 runs per over. Bumrah has also been included in the team in the ongoing three T20I series against Australia, but he did not play in the first match.
