Michel Stark became the most expensive player in IPL history, as the Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him for a whopping 24.75 crore rupees. Bids also poured in for players like Pat Cummins and Daryl Mitchell. However, some notable names remained unsold in this auction.
Among the unsold players were former Kangaroo captain Steve Smith and Test cricketer Karun Nair, who has a triple century in Test cricket to his name. Steve Smith had set his base price at 2 crore rupees, while Nair’s base price was 50 lakh rupees.
