Opening his RCB account in IPL 2024, Kohli has already made his way to the top of the Orange cap leaderboard after just 2 matches. His innings against Kolkata Knight Riders started brilliantly for him as he reached yet another batting record for the franchise.
Virat Kohli now has the most sixes for RCB in IPL history. Kohli now has 240 sixes to his name, overtaking the legendary Chris Gayle who had registered 239 sixes to his name. In fact this is the most sixes hit by any player for a franchise in IPL history.

Kohli went on to score his 52nd half-century in the Indian Premier League, providing Bengaluru with a strong start against Kolkata at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kohli reached this milestone after facing 36 deliveries in the highly anticipated IPL match. This innings allowed Kohli to surpass Hyderabad’s powerful wicketkeeper, Heinrich Klaasen, as the top run-scorer in IPL 2024.
