Rajasthan Royals made a change to their squad for the ongoing Indian Premier League by bringing in senior South African left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj in place of pacer Prasidh Krishna. The team announced the addition to the squad on Thursday, March 28.

Additionally, Kolkata Knight Riders announced the inclusion of Afghan player Allah Ghazanfar, a 16-year-old off-spinner, as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, according to the IPL on Thursday.
Ghazanfar, who has featured in two ODIs for Afghanistan, has also played three T20 matches and six List A games, securing five and four wickets respectively. He joins KKR at his base price of Rs 20 Lakh.

Prasidh Krishna recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon and is currently in the recovery phase.
Replacing him, Maharaj brings a wealth of experience, having participated in 27 T20Is, 44 ODIs, and 50 Tests, with a total of 237 wickets across international formats.
Furthermore, he has participated in 159 T20 matches, securing 130 wickets, and is capable of contributing valuable runs lower down the batting order. RR has enlisted his services at his base price of Rs 50 Lakh.
