In the first innings of the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants batting first posted a total of 165 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Led by their captain and wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul, who scored 29 runs off 33 balls, Lucknow Super Giants got off to a steady start. However, they lost Quinton de Kock early, who managed to score 25 runs off 40 balls. Marcus Stoinis played aggressively, contributing 35 runs off 30 balls before being dismissed.
