Mohit Sharma secured two wickets in the final over, ensuring that the 2016 champions were restricted to 162-8 in their allotted 20 overs. The SRH innings concluded dramatically with Samad being run out on the last ball. Mohit’s superb final over saw the GT pacer conceding only three runs. With SRH setting a target of 163 runs, GT now needs to chase down the total within 20 overs to emerge victorious.

Choosing to bat first after winning the toss at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, Pat Cummins’ Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced an early setback when Mayank Agarwal got out for 17 off 10 balls in the fourth over. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma aggressively attacked the Gujarat Titans (GT) bowlers after Agarwal’s dismissal, but Head was dismissed by GT spinner Noor Ahmad after the powerplay.

Abhishek Sharma played a crucial knock, accumulating 29 runs off 20 balls, but was eventually caught by Shubman Gill off Mohit Sharma’s bowling. A solid partnership between Markram (17 runs) and Klaasen (24 runs) added stability to the innings, but both fell victim to Rashid Khan and Umesh Yadav respectively.
