Team India star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has made a spectacular comeback to the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), picking up 3 scalps on his return against the Gujarat Titans. Mumbai Indians star pacer is just 2 wickets away now from becoming only the 2nd Indian bowler to pick 150 wickets in the cash-rich league.

Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad hailed Jasprit Bumrah as the most well-rounded T20 bowler globally before the 8th match of the Indian Premier League 2024, featuring SunRisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.
He predicted that the showdown between SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen and MI’s Bumrah would be the highlight to watch on Wednesday, March 27. The two teams are set to compete at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, aiming to secure crucial points.
Stuart Broad On Jasprit Bumrah
“Honestly, he looks superb. If there is anyone who is a complete T20 bowler in the world, it has to be him. And the battle to watch out for tomorrow is between Klaasen and Bumrah. Klaasen is probably the most in-form T20 batter at the moment. He is hitting sixes for fun. Nearly got the team over the line from an impossible position against KKR. As soon as he walks into the crease, what do I do?” Broad told Star Sports.
“I am going to get Jasprit Bumrah to warm up and bowl him a Yorker, trying to hit the stumps. Klaasen looks confident; he hits it straight and high; he is such a powerful guy. So it is something that I cannot wait to watch. And if Klaasen hasn’t faced Bumrah yet, it will be difficult because Bumrah is a very difficult bowler to get used to,” Broad added.
Both SunRisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians are yet to secure a victory this season. Despite coming close to winning in their opening games, both teams suffered agonizing defeats. Bumrah, making his IPL comeback after a year, impressed with figures of 3 for 14 in his 4 overs. Meanwhile, Klaasen showcased his batting prowess with a stunning innings of 63 runs from 29 deliveries, almost steering SRH to a thrilling victory.
In a conversation with Star Sports ahead of the match, Broad praised Bumrah’s performance in his IPL return, highlighting him as a key player against Klaasen in the SRH vs MI clash. The former English bowler also suggested that Klaasen might face difficulties against Bumrah if he hasn’t encountered him in previous matches.
