Rohit’s Special Feat
The 5-time champion Rohit Sharma will be playing his record 200th IPL match for the Mumbai Indians on the night when Mumbai take on the SunRisers Hyderabad on March 27. He will be the first player ever to achieve the feat, showing how important a player he has been for the Mumbai Indians over the years.
Rohit’s Hyderabad Return
Returning to Hyderabad, Rohit Sharma also has a special connection to the place. He won his first IPL title with the Deccan Chargers in 2009. It would be an emotional return for the Team India skipper who surely has fond memories of his time with the Hyderabad side in the past.
Entering his 200th IPL tie without the captaincy role will see him attack more freely when he bats for Mumbai as well.
Rohit did look his old self when he faced last year’s finalists Gujarat Titans, scoring a 29-ball 43 in the first match to get Mumbai in their chase which eventually ddn’t go in their favour.
