In the next season of Indian Premier League, significant changes are expected not only in player compositions but also in team captaincies. Shubman Gill is set to lead the Gujarat Titans for the first time following Hardik Pandya’s move to Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) may see the return of Shreyas Iyer as captain, and Rishabh Pant could reassume leadership for the Delhi Capitals after his recovery.

Notably, KKR has called back its former captain Gautam Gambhir as a mentor. Under the leadership of Gambhir, KKR became champion twice in 2012 and 2014. This time, Shreyas Iyer may return to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team as captain as he was not fit last season.
