Following Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) 33-run victory over Gujarat Titans (GT), all-rounder Krunal Pandya reassured that the team’s fast bowler Mayank Yadav appeared to be fine after he left the field during the game. Mayank’s bowling performance was highly anticipated by fans during LSG’s match against GT, especially due to his impressive pace, line, and length.

While he consistently bowled at speeds exceeding 150 km/h in previous matches, Mayank’s pace seemed slightly diminished in the clash against GT, barely reaching 140 km/h, and conceding three boundaries before leaving the field after bowling just one over.

“I do not know what is happening but I did have a brief couple of seconds’ chat – he seemed okay, which was quite a relief for us.” Krunal Pandya said.

Krunal Pandya On Mayank Yadav

“A bright prospect, I had been watching him for the last two years. He used to bowl gun in the nets. Last year, unfortunately, missed it [due to injury]. But again, whatever conversation I have had, what I see is that he has a good head on his shoulders as well,” he added..

Despite his recent match, Mayank has quickly garnered attention for his exceptional pace, consistently exceeding 150 km/h. In the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Mayank demonstrated his prowess by taking three wickets while conceding only 14 runs in his four-over spell, earning him the ‘Player of the Match’ accolade.

At the young age of 21, the LSG fast bowler made history by becoming the first player in IPL history to receive the ‘Player of the Match’ award in their first two matches. He notably recorded a bowling speed of 156.7 kmph during the RCB match, marking the fastest delivery in the ongoing season and the fourth fastest in the entire history of the tournament. This surpassed his previous record set during his debut match against Punjab Kings, where he bowled at 155.8 kmph and took three wickets for 27 runs in four overs.
