Orange Cap Standings

Despite RCB’s 28-run defeat to LSG on Tuesday, Virat Kohli reclaimed the IPL 2024 Orange Cap. Although Kohli didn’t make a substantial impact with the bat in the match, scoring 22 runs off 16 balls, he regained the top spot on the leaderboard with a total of 203 runs. Kohli briefly slipped to second position after Riyan Parag’s unbeaten half-century against MI.

In the IPL 2024 Orange Cap standings, Riyan Parag holds the second position with 181 runs, while Heinrich Klaasen from Hyderabad maintains the third spot. Nicholas Pooran secured the fourth position after his unbeaten 40 lifted his run tally to 146. Quinton de Kock, a teammate of Kohli at Lucknow Super Giants, clinches the fifth spot following an impressive half-century in the previous match. Shikhar Dhawan now occupies the sixth place, with David Warner trailing at seventh.

The IPL’s Orange Cap, awarded to the season’s top run-scorer, has witnessed remarkable performances. David Warner leads with three caps, but Virat Kohli’s exceptional 2016 IPL performance remains memorable. Kohli’s record-breaking four hundred helped him score an impressive 973 runs to claim the Orange Cap.

Purple Cap Standings

On the other hand, in the wicket-taking table for this season, Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman leads with seven wickets in three matches for CSK. Mayank Yadav from LSG, Mohit Sharma from GT, and Yuzvendra Chahal from RR follow closely with six wickets each, securing the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
