IPL 2024: Gujarat Titans Seal 7-Wicket Victory Over SunRisers Hyderabad

In an exciting match, Gujarat Titans triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets. Mohit Sharma's stellar bowling restricted SRH to 162-8. Titans chased down 163 with ease, led by Sudharsan and Miller's crucial knocks.

In a thrilling encounter, the Gujarat Titans emerged victorious by 7 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chasing a target of 163 runs, the Titans displayed a strong batting performance, reaching 168-3 in just 19.1 overs.

The innings began with Wriddhiman Saha providing a quick start, scoring 25 runs off 13 balls before being dismissed by Shahbaz Ahmed. Captain Shubman Gill played a crucial role, contributing 36 runs from 28 balls before falling to a delivery from Markande.

However, it was Sai Sudharsan who anchored the innings with a composed knock of 45 runs from 36 balls, including four boundaries and a six. His partnership with David Miller, who showcased his class with an explosive innings of 44 runs from 27 balls, guided the Titans closer to the target.

With just a few runs needed, Sudharsan unfortunately got out to Cummins, but the damage was already done. David Miller remained unbeaten, guiding the Titans to victory alongside Vijay Shankar, who chipped in with a valuable 14 runs from 11 balls.

In the first innings, Mohit Sharma delivered a stellar performance, clinching two crucial wickets in the final over. His exceptional bowling ensured that the 2016 champions, Sunrisers Hyderabad, were limited to 162-8 in their allotted 20 overs. The SRH innings concluded dramatically with Abdul Samad being run out on the last ball. Mohit’s superb final over saw the Gujarat Titans’ pacer conceding only three runs. With Sunrisers Hyderabad setting a target of 163 runs, the stage is set for an exciting chase by the Gujarat Titans.
