Finally, the much-awaited remaining schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday. The Chennai is going to host the final of one of the biggest cricket events of the year on May 26.

Keeping in view of the upcoming general elections, all the 74 matches of the IPL 2024 are slated to take place in India only, with the crucial stages of the competition set to take place in Ahmedabad and Chennai.
The upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 are all set to take place from April 19 in seven phases across the country.

The Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator matches are set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 21 and 22, respectively. Subsequently, Qualifier 2 and the highly anticipated final clash will be held at the iconic Chepauk stadium in Chennai on May 24 and 26, respectively.

Continuing with tradition, the IPL governing council has decided to host the opening game and the final at the home venue of last year’s defending champions, Chennai Super Kings. Initially, the BCCI had released the schedule for only the first 21 matches of the 17th edition of the IPL, which commenced on March 22.
