New Delhi: India and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) batting icon Virat Kohli registered many records under his name when his side squared off against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) on Thursday, April 20.
48th fifty for Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli captained RCB as regular skipper Faf du Plessis was used as the impact player against the PBKS. While opening with Kohli, regular skipper Faf du Plessis bashed PBKS’ bowler all over the park. Stand in skipper Virat also scored his 48th half-century in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

First captain to score 6,500 runs in IPL
The 34-years old batting stalwart is the second highest run scorer for RCB against Punjab in the IPL. Virat also achieved special feat as he rewrote history in the Indian T20 league. Kohli became the first batter to score 6,500 runs in the IPL as captain. Kohli has achieved the staggering feat in 186 innings.

3rd batter to hit 600 fours
The batting icon also joined Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner on an elite list. Kohli is the third batter to hit 600 fours in the world’s richest T20 league. Warner has struck 608 fours in the world’s richest T20 league while Punjab Kings skipper Dhawan has hit 730 fours in his incredible IPL career.
