New Delhi: Tilak Verma played an unforgettable innings of unbeaten 84 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Invited to bat first by the host,  Mumbai Indians (MI) got off to a poor start and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Tilak Verma helps Mumbai to recover

Where wickets was continuously, the 20-year-old Tilak Verma had held one end tight with a fine knock and helped Mumbai to post respectable target on the board.

Verma’s half-century

The southpaw reached his fifty off 32 deliveries, Tilak measured the deep square leg boundary off Akash Deep’s first ball, and completed his half-century. What a crucial knock he had played against the constant fall of wickets.

For RCB, Karn Sharma took two while Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, Michael Bracewell and Akash Deep all have scalped a wicket each.
