Meanwhile, Sunil Narine scalped two dismissals of Virat Kohli and Shahbaz Ahmed. Initially, KKR reached 204/7 in 20 overs, courtesy of some good batting from Rahmanullah Gurbaz (57), Shardul Thakur (68) and Rinku Singh (46). Thakur was in particularly stunning form and slammed nine fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, David Willey and Karn Sharma bagged two wickets each for RCB.

Shardul Thakur’s fifty
Knight Riders was in deep trouble when Thakur came to bat in, Gurbaz and Russel were departed in consecutive deliveries by David Willey. It seemed that KKR will collapse soon, but Shardul have some other plans today, to fight back till the end. With blistering fifty he became the joint fastest fifty scorer in the 16th edition of IPL.
Gurbaz’s innings
Rahmanullah Gurbaz played fighting innings as KRR fought back in the game. In his whole innings Gurbaz smashed six boundaries and three sixes at the strike rate of 129.55. But in 11.2 overs Karn Sharma gave RCB much needed breakthrough as he removed Gurbaz.
