New Delhi: Ruturaj Gaikwad brought up his first fifty of the season off 23 deliveries. He reached his fifty after he smacked a shot to deep mid wicket for a six. It was massive over for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after they lost early 3-wickts.

Alzarri Joseph holds the best bowling figures in the Indian Premier League (IPL), but today against the Gaikwad, he has not started off on a pleasant note in IPL 2023.

Ruturaj Giakwad’s love for yellow

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s continued his fabulous run in Ahmedabad. Last time he played in the 50 over Vijay Hazare Trophy for Maharashtra, Gaikwad had smashed three centuries. It was the yellow jersey of Maharashtra back then. Now it’s the CSK yellow in which he opened the campaign and got half-century with three boundaries and six sixes at a strike rate over 200.

Rashid Khan sends back both England’s southpaw

Rashid Khan delivered wider from Moeen Ali and the England’s southpaw nicked it behind to Wriddhiman Saha, and wicket-keeper Saha grabbed the catch.

Rashid Khan came for his second over. And produced a carbon copy dismissal. Slight width offered to Ben Stokes and caught behind by Wriddhiman Saha.

Match of IPL 2023

Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) will look to continue from where they left in the last edition of the IPL. The positive start will give them confidence as they are now have task to retain the trophy.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni’s CSK will be aiming toward a fresh start after a forgettable previous season where they finished ninth with only 8 points to their name. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will continue to lead the side amid rumour that the 2023 edition could be his last in the league, all eyes will also be on Ben Stokes, the England southpaw who is set to make his debut for the men in yellow.
