Punjab’s batting recap
After invited to bat first, Prabhsimran gave PBKS great start. Dhawan and Singh together accumulated 63 runs in the powerplay overs and added 90 runs for the opening wicket before Jos Buttler completed a stunner to pack Prabhsimran for 64(34).

Bhanuka Rajapaksa then joined the captain in the middle but was forced to leave the ground shortly after being struck by a ball hit by Dhawan. The skipper then added another 50-plus stand with Jitesh Sharma, who was packed for 27(16) by Yuzvendra Chahal.
For Rajasthan Jason Holder scalped 2 wickets as he removed Prabhsimran Singh and Shahrukh Khan. Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin picked 1 wicket apiece.

Prabhsingh gets lifeline after Holder removes him
Padikkal drops Prabhsimran
Jason Holder came to bowl the final powerplay over, and he was hit for a four by Prabhsimran Singh.
Devdutt Padikkal then droped a catch in the final delivery, he gave Prabhsimran a lucky reprieved. Holder bowled it wide came at length and Prabhsimran ended up sliced it. Padikkal made an attempt for the catch but overran, lost balance and failed to hold on to it.
Prabhsimran survived on 44 as Punjab accumulates 64 runs in powerplay.
Jason Holder finally gave the breakthrough as he got rid of Prabhsimran Singh for 60(34). Bowled a short delivery, which took a top edge and the ball flied in the air. Jos Buttler completed a good length, running in from long-on and took a brilliant catch.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).
