New Delhi: Australia’s right-arm fast bowler Nathan Ellis bagged four wickets against Rajasthan Royals (RR) as Punjab Kings (PBKS) got control over the game at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday, April 5.

Nathan Ellis all wickets against RR

Jos Buttler returned to pavilion for 19 runs. He tried to drive a ball from Ellis, got an inside edge which hit his pads and ricocheted up in the air. Ellis ran and caught the ball.

A second wicket for Nathan Ellis and it came at a perfect time. Captain Sanju Samson handed his catch straight to the fielder at long off. Tried to hit against the cross seamer and did not quite connected with the middle.

The Barsapara Cricket Stadium went silent as local boy Riyan Parag tried to go for the maximum, but ended up smashing Ellis’ first ball into the hands of Shahrukh Khan. Nathan Ellis’ last two balls have gotten Punjab the wickets of Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag, who departed for 20 off 12 balls.

A slow and labourious innings from Devdutt Padikkal ended with Nathan Ellis castled him for 21 runs off 26 balls.

PBKS’ batting 

Earlier, PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan (86) and Prabhsimran Singh (60) guided PBKS to post the formidable target of 198 on board for RR.
