PBKS gives fitness update
Punjab Kings have given an update of the practice of both the players on Twitter. However, no official statement has been issued by the franchise on the fitness of both the players.
Shikhar to undergo fitness test
Captain Shikhar Dhawan could not featured in the last match due to injury; in his absence, Sam Curran led the team. On the other hand, Livingstone has not played a single match in IPL 2023 so far. As per reports, the pair will undergo a fitness test 24 hours before the Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore encounter. Curran had confirmed that Dhawan had suffered a shoulder injury.
According to the news of InsideSport, when asked about the injuries, a senior PBKS official said – nothing can be said right now. It’s time for the next match. We will get an update from the physio 24 hours before the match. Gabbar was in the dugout during the last match, but did not appear on the team’s social media accounts afterwards. Although now there are signs of his return. In his absence, Atharva Tayde was handed a debut, while Harpreet Bhatia was also drafted in for the first IPL game.
Livingstone hits practice net
As far as Liam Livingstone is concerned, he is yet to feature in IPL 2023. The English all-rounder arrived in India only last week and has been associated with the team ever since. However, his return was further delayed after he pulled a hamstring during Punjab Kings’ training last week. His availability for the RCB clash will also depend on the fitness test. Although he has also been seen during practice. He last played competitive cricket in December.
