New Delhi: Delhi Capitals’ (DC) skipper David Warner won the toss and chooses to bowl first against the KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow on Saturday, April 1.

Head-to-head record

Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals met twice during the group stage of the IPL 2022. The new franchise outclassed their opponents on both occasions in their maiden tournament. They have a 100 percent track record in the head-to-head battle against DC.

LSG vs DC

Both the side will be aiming for winning start in the tournament as they kick-start their campaign. Ahead of the match both the teams will miss the service of the foreign players. LSG will miss the likes of Quinton de Kock while DC will miss the service of Mustafizur Rahman, Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi due to national commitments.

Captains Words

“Going to have a bowl. For us it’s about trying to assess conditions early and knowing what to chase. It can be quite confusing, maybe stressful at times (impact player). I’m excited to be back. We send our best out to Rishabh,” David Warner, DC captain.

“That’s how most IPL teams work. They want to make their home ground their fortress. We’re as clueless as the opposition. We haven’t played here. We’re going in with no expectations. For all you know, it might be a good batting wicket. It’s new (impact player). Still getting used to it. It gives teams a chance to be in the game or come back in the game. It’s fun. Hopefully it’s a good change,” KL Rahul, LSG captain.
