New Delhi: Indian veteran opener Murali Vijay announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Monday through a Twitter post. Murali played his last match for India in December 2018.
Taking to the social media platform, the star player wrote, “Today, immense gratitude and humility, I announce my retirement from all forms of international cricket. My journey from 2002 to 2018 has been the most wonderful years of my life for it was an honour representing India at the highest level of sport.”

Murali Vijay plays crucial role for CSK
One of dashing opening batter in Test for India, Vijay scored 12 Test centuries and 15 half-centuries from 61 Tests. He smashed 3982 runs at an average of 38.28. The 34-year old also played a crucial role while playing for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Tamil Nadu batter, played for CSK until sixth IPL season. Vijay was the part of MS Dhoni led side when they lifted the IPL trophy in 2010 and 2011.
