New Delhi: In the third T20I, held on Tuesday in Indore, South Africa defeated India by 49 runs thanks in large part to a brilliant batting performance from Rilee Rossouw. The batsman scored a century in 48 balls as South Africa amassed 227/3 in 20 overs. India prevailed in the series, 2-1, despite the loss.
Rohit invited South Africa earlier in the evening and got started quickly. South Africa, however, set a challenging goal for the hosts thanks to some strong bowling from De Kock and Rossouw. As a result, India’s game got off to a bad start as Rohit and Shreyas Iyer were lost early. After being dismissed, India continued to lose wickets frequently till they were eventually bowled out for 178 in 18.3 overs.
