New Delhi: The Indian team has left Guwahati and reached Indore for the third and final T20I match against South Africa.

In a video posted by the BCCI, the team led by Rohit Sharma was seen at the city’s airport reaching Indore where they will be up against South Africa who are now 0-2 down in the series.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul rested

KL Rahul and Virat Kohli won’t be available and the latter had already boarded a flight to Mumbai and wasn’t seen traveling with the full squad.

Having sealed their first-ever series against South Africa at home, Indian team management has decided to rest its premier batter Virat Kohli and vice-captain KL Rahul for the final game.

“Yes, both Virat and Rahul have been rested from the final T20I,” said a BCCI official.

Indian bowlers await another tough test against South Africa ahead of the T20 World Cup when the two teams meet in the final game of the three-match series here on Tuesday.

It is expected that standby batsman Shreyas Iyer will replace Kohli for the final game in the playing XI. With Rahul also rested, either Suryakumar Yadav or Rishabh Pant will open alongside Rohit Sharma.

2nd T20I between India and South Africa

In a high scoring, both the teams had garnered more than 200 runs but the visitors fell short of 16 runs when India won the game. Batting first, India made 237 runs with the huge contributions from KL Rahul (57), Rohit Sharma (43), Virat Kohli (49), Suryakumar Yadav (61).
