New Delhi: New Zealand will aim to sweep the series from the Hardik Pandya-led team India in 2nd T20i match at Ekana Sports City, Lucknow on Sunday (29 January). After the One Day International (ODI) clean sweep against the Kiwis, Men in Blue are in desperate situation to avoid the first loss in series against New Zealand at home.
Shubman Gill or Prithvi Shaw
India’s T20 skipper Hardik Pandya made it clear that Gill will make an opening for the team while Shaw will have to wait for his chance.
There is no doubt that Shubman Gill has played outstanding knock in the ODI, but in T20, specially in powerplay, he played the worst strike rate with 119.92.
Prithvi Shaw on the other hand has the best strike rate of 152.34, in powerplay in the team, even better then Suryakumar Yadav.
Instead of backing Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya must try Shaw as an opener.
