New Delhi: India beats New Zealand in the 2nd T20i match by six wickets at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. India now levelled the series by 1-1. Captain Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav played slow and steady knock and guided India in hard fought match against New Zealand.
After wining the toss New Zealand’s skipper Mitchell Santner opted to bat first. New Zealand posted the 99 runs target for the host.
New Zealand opener Finn Allen and Devon Conway departed on 11 runs. Skipper Mitchell Santner scored highest 19 not-out. Michael Bracewell and Ish Sodhi picked up one wicket each.

For India Suryakumar Yadav played the match winning knock of 26 not-out. All-rounder Hardik Pandya also played the helping knock of 15 not-out.

Arshdeep made a come back
Arshdeep Singh made a magnificent come back in the match. The left arm quick, scalped 2 wickets from his 2 overs quota. Arshdeep has the best economy ate among the Indian bowler of 3.50.
Apart from Shivam Mavi all others bowler picked up one wicket each.
Not a single shot for maximum
It seems as the pitch of Ekana Cricket Stadium are not made for the T20 cricket. Not a single six was smashed from both the teams.
Skipper Hardik Pandya also slammed the nature of the surface, which was turning square and was almost a graveyard for the batters.
“To be honest, this was a shocker of a wicket. Two games the kind of wickets we have played on. I don’t mind difficult wickets. I am all up for that, but these two wickets are not made for T20,” he said in post match conference.

Somewhere down the line the curators or the stadium whichever we are going to play in T20, they should make sure they prepare the pitches earlier, rather than having a couple of games there,” he added.
