Earlier, Ollie Robinson, after scoring a career-best 58 runs, threw away his wicket with a questionable reverse sweep shot off Ravindra Jadeja, leading to the end of England’s innings at 353 runs, with Joe Root remaining unbeaten on 122.
England made a strong start in the morning session, frustrating the Indian bowlers before Robinson’s dismissal shifted the momentum in India’s favor.
