New Delhi: Australia crumbled for 188 against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Pacers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj-led the Indian bowling attack from the front.

Both the spearhead picked up three wickets apiece. Aussies batter were just unabled to play the pace at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.

Shami, Siraj’s show

Australia were 176/5 in 29 overs, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Shami continued the Indian bowling attack. Mohammed Shami picked up Marcus Stoinis. The 33-years-old batter edged it to first slip and Shubman Gill grabbed the catch this time at his left.

Gill also impresses with fielding

Shubman Gill was impressive on the field just like his senior fellow Jadeja,  Abbot pushed at a wide one from Siraj, upright seam, outside edge and Gill dived to his right. Australia have crumbled.

The last wicket falls in the 36th over but Australia have not scored any runs since the end of the 33rd. The innings started with such promise but Australia have utterly fallen apart in the middle overs. They have gone from 169/4 in the 28th over to being 188 all out in the 36th. The last wicket falls with Zampa edging Siraj behind.

Shami breaks Australia’s backbone

There is a new ball Shami and end-overs specialist Shami, but in today’s match there was a middle over Shami. He has ended the innings with figures of 3/17. Mohammed Siraj has got figures of 3/29.

For Australia, only Mitchell Marsh shined with the bat, he smashed 81 runs but failed to convert it into triple digits.
