New Delhi: Former India captain Virat Kohli has seen the zenith of cricket world but for past few years, he has been struggling with his form. In the recent months, Kohli is continuously facing the criticism from the ‘experts’ as he is asked to improve his game or make room for the next generation.

In an interview with The Indian Express, Kohli opened up about his career and how he has been dealing with the depression and negative energy all through this period.
Kohli, while talking about the pressure he has faced said, “I personally have experienced times when even in a room full of people who support and love me, I felt alone, and I am sure that this is a feeling that a lot of people can relate to.”
“It is definitely a serious issue and as much as we try to be strong at all times, it can tear you apart.”
Meanwhile, Kohli pressed on the importance of the connecting with “core self” for athletes and to recover from the pressure of sport itself.

Former India captain had talked about the issue earlier as well when he was in conversation with English commentator Mark Nicholas in February, “It’s not a great feeling to wake up knowing that you won’t be able to score runs… I felt I was the loneliest guy in the world.”
Virat Kohli was dropped from the recent West Indies tour but he will be seen in the Asia Cup 2022 and Sourav Ganguly has put his belief in him saying, that Kohli will find his format here.
