India’s rising cricketer Abhishek Sharma has been making waves with his excellent performance in T20I series against England. In the 5th T20I against England he made 135 runs off 37 balls and shattered multiple records.

Now the rumours are swirling that Abhishek Sharma is dating Laila Faisal, who is a well known fashion entrepreneur. Laila is the founder of Laila Roohi Faisal Designs and has a strong social media presence. The speculations about the duo sparked when she congratulated him on Instagram story captioned “Proud”. This led to fans believe that something was brewing between the two. However, neither Abhishek nor Laila has officially confirmed the rumors.
Abhishek Sharma’s Past Relationships
This is not the first time that Abhishek’s personal life has made it to the limelight. His name had come up earlier in 2024 in a tragic incident of his ex-girlfriend, model Tania Singh, who was found dead in her apartment in Surat. Reports said that he was the last person she called before she died. She said that he had blocked her number and would not respond to her messages, but no action was taken against him.
Before Laila Faisal, Abhishek was also rumored to be dating internet personality Diya Mehta, but nothing was ever confirmed.

Abhishek Sharma’s 135 runs stood as the record for the most individual score made by an Indian in T20I cricket as he surpassed Shubman Gill’s 126* against New Zealand in 2023. Sharma’s hundred came off only 37 balls, making him the second fastest Indian to reach a T20I century. Rohit Sharma still holds the record for the fastest century scored by an Indian in T20Is, who reached 100 off just 35 balls against Sri Lanka in 2017.
