Rahul Dravid, known to be an extremely calm individual, found himself in a controversy after having a verbal tiff with an auto-rickshaw driver at Bengaluru. The incident occurred on Cunningham Road near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and the video has gone viral, reviving the popular “Indiranagar ka gunda” meme from a previous advertisement featuring Dravid.
Currently enjoying time in his hometown before joining the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for IPL 2025, Dravid’s visit took an unexpected turn due to a minor collision with an auto-rickshaw, which led to a heated exchange. Though the exact conversation remains unclear due to poor audio quality, witnesses claim Dravid was trying to explain that the accident wasn’t his fault. According to Indiatimes, bystanders said the auto driver had braked abruptly, leaving Dravid with no time to react, and it was a minor crash.

In the end, the auto driver, speaking in Kannada, admitted partial fault but said that Dravid could have done more to avoid the accident. According to reports, Dravid even noted down the driver’s contact details before leaving the scene. There was no major damage or injury, and as of now, no FIR or police complaint has been filed.
