New Delhi: Indian team’s second and final warm-up match before the Super-12 stage against New Zealand has been abandoned due to rain. It was raining heavily for some time now and the officials come to the conclusion that the weather won’t clear up anytime soon. India thus finishes their build-up with a thrilling win over Australia and a washout.

Rain plays spoilsport in India vs New Zealand
New Zealand lost their first practice match to South Africa by nine wickets though. While India kicked off their T20 World Cup preparations on a convincing note after securing a much-needed win against defending champions Australia.
India had posted 186 runs on board at the loss of 7 wickets while batting first. When the Aussies came on the field, Indian bowlers restricted them to 180 runs. For Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid, their bowling attack was a matter of concern. However, in the warm-up, they are proving to be good enough to win the game.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar clinched two wickets while the new addition to the team, Mohammad Shami got 3 wickets. Along with that, Arsdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, and Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed one player each.
Talking about the batting performance of Men in Blue, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav managed to score half-century each. Rohit and Kohli contributed with 15 and 19 runes respectively. Dinesh Karthik scored 20 runs to contribute to the total of the team.
